Post-treatment Aftercare

If you have undergone a recent treatment, please read our aftercare treatment advice and information below. Feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions or concerns.

You may experience a mild redness, swelling or tenderness post injection. This is normal and is to be expected.
Bruising may occur immediately or just after injection.
Avoid Asprin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E or any other essential fatty acids at least to 3 days to 1 week after treatment.
Do not touch, press, rub or manipulate the injected areas for at least 6 hours after your treatment.
Avoid vigorous excersice, sun and heat exposure for 2 days post treatment.
Avoid the use of Retinol or similar products 2 days after treatment.
Avoid cosmetic treatments such as laser, ultrasound, peels, facials or microdermabrasion for 2 weeks after your treatment.
Try to avoid wearing makeup or lipstick until the day after your treatment.
If you have cold sores or herpetic infection in the past, any treatment to your face may trigger a reactivation. Please contact Tamsin if you have concerns.
One side or area of your face may heal faster than another side. The treatment area is best reviewed at least 2 weeks post treatment.
Please continue all medications prescribed by your doctor, hospital or consultant. There is no requirement to stop medications after injection with hyaluronic acid fillers.
Please contact your healthcare practitioner without delay if you experience any of the following after your treatment:

Any pain in the eye area or visual disturbance
Discoloured blotches, which may appear to look like a spreading bruise
Skin blanching, which may appear to look like areas of skin whitening
Severe or increasing levels of pain
Pustules and/or blisters on the skin
If your skin becomes red, inflamed or hot to touch
If your skin becomes increasingly swollen
If your skin becomes increasingly itchy

Post treatment, there may be some redness, swelling or tenderness at the treatment site. Occasionally some bruising may occur around the treated area; this is usually short term and will subside within a few days.

Lip treatments may take a little longer to settle. If any other reaction occurs or you have any concerns, please contact Injectbeauty.

Avoid wearing makeup post treatment for 12 hours; there is no need to massage this product unless instructed to do so by your practitioner.

Until the initial swelling or redness has resolved, do not use sun beds, saunas, steam rooms and avoid extreme temperature. Always wear a high factor sun block on your face.

If taking Asprin or any similar medication, this may increase the risk of bruising and discolouration to the skin, at the injection site.

Your practitioner will provide all pre and post treatment care advice.

As a reminder:

Immediately after treatment there may be slight redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. These reactions are temporary and generally disappear in a few days. If it continues or if other reactions occur, please contact your practitioner.
Avoid touching the treatment area for 6 hours after the treatment. After that the area can be washed with a gentle cleanser and sterile make-up can be applied.
Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold. Avoid strenuous exercise and swimming to avoid a risk of infection.
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after treatment
Apply SPF50 sunscreen
Please discuss any further cosmetic procedures with your practitioner
Do not massage or manipulate the treated area
Stay hydrated

Azzalure normally takes an average of 2 to 3 days to start working, although it may take a little longer for the full effects to

be seen.

For at least 4 hours after treatment

Keep upright
Do not bend excessively

For 12 hours after treatment

Avoid extreme facial expressions
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption
Avoid wearing make-up

For 2 days after treatment

Do not rub or massage the treated area - this may cause the injected solution to spread to nearby muscles
After washing, pat skin dry very gently with a soft towel

For 2 weeks after treatment

Avoid exposure to strong sunlight, very cold temperatures and saunas
Do not have any beauty treatments on your face e.g facials, facial massage

You can expect slight redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, itching and/or bruising following Restylane treatment. This is the same you might expect with any type of injection. However, this is temporary and generally disappears after a few days. With lip enhancement, your lips may become swollen and appear slightly uneven for a few days.

Skin revitalisation
After an initial intense treatment of 3 session 2-3 weeks apart, top-up sessions are normally recommended around every 6 months.

The needles are at 0.13mm in diameter, electroplated with nickel and then 24k gold. The tapered needles allow the serum to get straight to work, improving the skin condition at a cellular level.

The WOW fusion treatment might mean your skin feels different for a few days. For the first 24 hours avoid touching the skin unnecessarily, wearing make-up, avoid sun, sun beds, steam and saunas.

Remember the following: Always wear SPF - ask your practitioner about Synergy 6 NX-GEN SPF 50. Keep your skin hydrated - drink plenty, moisturise well. Don't be tempted to pick or pull your skin.
